Circulatory Emergencies

Circulatory emergencies are the leading cause of death for Canadians over the age of 44. Standard first aid teaches individuals to recognize, manage and aid patients suffering from the most common circulatory emergencies. The following emergencies are covered in standard first aid:

Shock

Major Bleeding

Heart Attack and Angina

Stroke and T.I.A. (Transient Ischemic Attacks)
